The DM 10 Line Monitoring Unit provides constant line monitoring of public address system loudspeaker lines, ensuring that the lines are always in good working condition, as it is essential that the loudspeaker lines be in operational condition in case of a building emergency.

The unit accomplishes this by employing a continuity test technique that constantly monitors the loudspeaker lines and provides indication on the front panel upon detection of a fault. The unit is capable of monitoring up to ten individual loudspeaker lines, checking for short circuits and open circuits.

An external interface, provided at the rear of the unit, enables the DM 10 unit to be interfaced with an external central monitoring system, for example, the iX 100 Series PA Matrix Sound Management System or a mimic panel via a transistorised closure to Ground for each individual zone.
