The iX 101 & iX 102, Single and Dual CPC Main Frame are rack-mountable frames and used to house the Digital Matrix System modular cards. Both can accommodate up to 12 matrix cards. All the Digital Matrix audio and remote microphone input cards shall be placed within this frame. This main frame comes complete with a front access LCD panel with selection scroll keys; 1 unit of iX 182 Power Supply Unit; 1 unit of iX 194 Analogue Handheld Microphone; 1 unit of iX 121 Central Processing Card I for iX 101 (2 units of iX 121 Central Processing Card I for iX 102); 1 unit of iX 132 Audio Input Card; 1 unit of iX 133 Remote Microphone Input Card and 2 units of iX 136 Audio Output Cards.

The iX 103, Extension Frame is a rack-mountable frame and is used to house the Digital Matrix System modular cards. It can accomodate up to 12 matrix cards. This extension frame comes complete with 1 unit of iX 182 Power Supply Unit; 1 unit of iX 122 Central Processing Card II; 1 unit of iX 123 Extension Card; 1 unit of iX 191 Network Bus and 1 unit of iX 192 Audio Bus.

The iX 121, Central Processing Card I is the main controller that manage the entire matrix system operation. It is to be installed in the iX 101 or iX 102 Matrix Main Frame. It occupies Slot-1 of iX 101 Main Frame or Slot-1 and Slot-2 of iX 102 Main Frame. This card will be connected to PC via the RS-232 Serial Communication Port for system configuration upload and system status download. This RS-232 port is also used to connect to iX 155 Internet Connectivity Panel, via a selector slide switch on the panel facial. Two units of iX 121 will be installed into the iX 102, Dual CPC Matrix Main Frame.

The iX 122, Central Processing Card II is installed in the iX 103, Matrix Extension Frame. It occupies Slot-1 of the Extension Frame. The central processing cards between frames are connected through Controller Area Network (CAN) Protocol.

The iX 132, Audio Input Card is the system line-level preamplifier card. This card is to be installed in the iX 101 or iX 102 Matrix Main Frame only. Each card has a DIP switch on board for card address setting. This card accommodates 4 line-level audio input channels. Each audio input channel accepts a balanced audio input and a opto-coupler audio control input activation. Each audio input channel comes with individual input gain control and signal indication LED.

The iX 133, Remote Microphone Input Card is the system remote microphone preamplifier card. This card is to be installed in the iX 101 or iX 102 Matrix Main Frame only. Each card has a DIP switch on board for card address setting. This card accomodates 4 numbers of iX 151, Matrix Remote Microphone input channels. Each remote microphone input channel accepts a balanced microphone input and a communication data input. Each channel comes with a signal indication LED. These communication-input channels accept communication data from iX 153, Remote Control Sensor Panel and iX 154, Remote Multipurpose Relay Panel as well.

The iX 136, Audio Output Card is the system line amplifier card. This card can be installed in any matrix frames. Each card has a DIP switch on board for card address setting. This card provides 4 line-level audio output channels to be fed into the power amplifier. Each audio output channel is equipped with an opto-coupler audio control output for external triggering. Each audio output channel’s volume control is software-driven. Each audio output channel is protected against any digital failure with automatic analog microphone overriding.

This card provides 16 control input channels. Each control input channel can be set to accept a dry-contact or current loop sensing. Individual control-input channel can be set to interlock with control-input channel 8 or 16 for controlled and synchronised triggering.

The iX 143, Multipurpose Relay Card is the system control output card. This card can be installed in any matrix frames. Each card has a DIP switch on board for card address setting. This card provides 16 control- output channels. Each control-output channel can be set to be a normally open (NO) or normally close (NC) dry-contact activation.

The iX 151, Matrix Remote Microphone can be placed up to 1.2 km away from the Main Frame. This remote mircophone is to be connected to iX 133, Remote Microphone Input Card. The remote microphone operates in 2 modes: Individual Zone Paging Mode and Group Paging Mode. In the Individual Zone Paging Mode, the zone selection can be done through the numerical entry on its keys. In the Group Paging Mode, the group of zones can be configured through iX 100 Series, proprietary Control Manager and activate through the remote microphone’s keys assigned. The remote microphone can be configured to have different types of chime to precede any paging. The remote microphone is equipped with two general purpose function keys. These function keys can be assigned to activate a relay on the iX 143, Multipurpose Relay Card or to sound a built-in siren.

The iX 155, Internet Connectivity Panel is the system gateway to the Local Area Network (LAN) and Wide Area Network (WAN). This panel is able to monitor the status and upload the configuration to the matrix system from a remote client. This panel is to be connected to the RS-232 port of the iX 121, Central Processing Card I on one end and to a modem or the ethernet on the other end. For modem dial-up, the panel can be activated remotely through a PPP dial-up. For ethernet connection, it is to be connected to the LAN. This panel is able to send email to 5 designated addresses upon any fault detected.
