The iX 156E receives parallel preamplified signal from the emergency microphone at the iX 158E and audio output from iX 136 Audio Output Card. This unit, by default, provides direct audio patch from the iX 136 audio output card into the power amplifier input for every individual zone. During Firemen mode, when the individual zone is being selected for emergency announcement, the default signal will be overridden. The emergency microphone signal is also parallel connected to iX 157E. The iX 156E shall be connected to more iX 157E Manual Line Selector if more than 8 zones are required. Each iX 157E provides an additional control of 8 zones. The iX 156E has an All Call button to activate all the zones on the panel and all the other iX 157E connected to the unit. LED indicators are available at the front facial to indicate the zones that have been evacuated. Thus, the firemen is able to continue from where the automated evacuation has been performed. The unit has a microphone input in the case of failure at the central processing unit or at the digital audio path to provide an alternative audio source directly to the power amplifiers.

The unit receives the emergency announcement signal from the iX 156E and audio output from iX 136 Audio Output Card. It also provides direct audio patch into the power amplifier input for every individual zone. The signal is also parallel connected to the next unit of iX 157E. Each iX 157E Manual Line Selector provides additional control of 8 zones for the system. It connects to the iX 156E All Call Manual Line Selector which activates all the zones when the All Call function is activated. LED indicators are available at the front facial to indicate the zones that have been evacuated. Thus, the firemen is able to continue from where the automated evacuation has been performed.

The iX 158E Emergency Panel serves as a control interface for both the building authority and firemen in the event of an emergency. Upon receiving an emergency signal from any sensors placed in the building, there is a confirmation button to initiate the automated voice evacuation plan. A Cancel button resets the system in the case of a false alarm. Both the Confirm and Cancel button has a latched door to prevent accidental activation of the functions. On the arrival of the firemen, the automated evacuation is terminated by the Firemen Mode button to initiate manual evacuation. An All Call button is available for all zones activation and a Resume button to resume the automated evacuation if the need arises. All buttons are illuminated with a blinking lamp to guide the user on the possible selections.

The iX 159E Mimic Panel Interface receives information of the evacuated zones from the iX 100E Series Digital Matrix - Early Evacuation Management System and activates its relay dry contact correspondingly to switch the connected device to the Mimic Panel Interface. The device may be lamps, or visual signalling devices placed on the mimic panel of the building’s floor plan for a more easily understandable image projection to the firemen on the evacuated areas.
